New Marilyn Monroe Exhibit at the Hollywood Museum

She's widely considered one of the greatest female stars to ever grace a movie screen. And now Marilyn Monroe's iconic life and career is the subject of a brand new exhibit at the Hollywood Museum.

Some of the highlights include the actual dresses she wore in Some Like It Hot and Gentleman Prefer Blondes, as well as never-before-seen pictures taken by George Barris, who's best known as the last photographer to have a session with the actress shortly before her death. Other artifacts being shown include movie scripts, various hand-written personal letters, and Monroe's 1961 Fleetwood Cadillac limousine. Monroe's 1942 high school year book will also be on display. Of course then she was known as Norma Jeane Baker.

The Marilyn Monroe Exhibit will open to the public on May 30 at the Hollywood Museum, located at 1660 N. Highland Ave., in Hollywood. Museum hours are Wednesdays through Sundays, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets cost $15 for adults, $12 for students and seniors, and $5 for children.
