Early Marilyn Monroe photos sell for $352K at auction

BEVERLY HILLS, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Copyrights and images from Marilyn Monroe's first photo shoot were the highlight of a weekend auction in Beverly Hills known as "Icons & Idols."

The Monroe photos -- taken in 1946 when she was still Norma Jean Dougherty -- sold for $352,000.

The photos come with negatives and the rare right to sell and distribute them. A judge in September ruled they must be auctioned to settle debts of photographer Joseph Jasgur.

Other hot items that sold at the Julien's auction included a Lady Gaga dress for more than $31,000 and her prop gun used in his music video for "Born This Way," a 1969 caricature John Lennon drew of himself and Yoko Ono, and a classic Michael Jackson jacket.
