Light foundation
Don't be put off if the light colour makes you look a bit washed out
For the authentic Marilyn Monroe look, your foundation needs to be quite light. Work some Bourjois Flower Perfection Foundation into the face and blend it right down the neck. Don't be put off if the light colour makes you look a bit washed out, once you've used the other products in this tutorial, you'll look great.
Smokey eyes
Shaping the brows
Lay down a base of nude bone-coloured eyeshadow from Mac in brule. Then work some soft grey eyeshadow, copperplate from Mac, along the socket line. Blend the top edge so that it is barely visible. Use MAC Vanilla Eyeshadow to show up the brow bone. Use a bit of the copperplate eyeshadow through your brows for colour. Apply some Long Lasting Waterproof Eyeliner in grey velvet from Daniel Sandler along the lash line, and flick out on the outside corners.
Full-on lashes
Add a touch of light reflective eyeshdow under the eye
For a genuinely vintage look you'll need BIG lashes. Avon Super Extend Extreme mascara contains light reflective pigments in which accentuate the colour of your eyes, so you can choose a colour that really suits you. On teh tear duct underneath the eyes, use a touch of light reflective Bourjois Light eyeshdow in 01 and a light line under the eye with the Daniel Sandler grey eyeshadow. Use some Mac studio sculpt concealer in NW20 under the eyes.
Blush and big, red lips
Extra lasting lipstick in eternal flame, and finish some AKA Lipgloss in bloody mary
For some rosie blush on the cheeks, use Liz Earle Rose Blush, and set the skin with some Liz Earle finishing powder. No Marilyn look would be complete without luscious red lips. Start with a AKA Red lip pencil on the lip line, then use Avon
Extra lasting lipstick in eternal flame, and finish some AKA Lipgloss in bloody mary.
