Behold: Marilyn Monroe's Salvatore Ferragamo Shoes, on Display

It's been 50 years since Marilyn Monroe's tragic death, and Museo Salvatore FerragamoItalian fashion house Salvatore Ferragamo's museum in Florenceis hosting an exhibit celebrating her life and her influence on the fashion industry.

"Marilyn" features never-before-seen pictures, magazine covers, and handwritten notes, as well as dozens of accessories and clothing from her iconic wardrobe. Many of those accessories, shoes specifically, are Ferragamoafter all, Monroe was a loyal customer who made his four-inch-heel pumps famous.

For those who plan to be in and around to Florence, the exhibit will run through January 28, 2013.
